Gland Pharma Signs Strategic CDMO Deal for 55 Sterile Injectable Products

Key Highlights:

  • Gland Pharma signed a Manufacturing and Supply Agreement (MSA) with a leading global pharmaceutical company to handle the technology transfer, manufacturing and supply of a portfolio of sterile injectable products for global markets. The collaboration covers both commercial products and pipeline products under development.
  • Under the full-service CDMO model, Gland Pharma will provide technology transfer, process development, scale-up, validation, commercial manufacturing and long-term supply. The portfolio includes 55 SKUs across oncology and non-oncology products in vial, lyophilized, ampoule and pre-filled syringe formats, spanning complex and conventional injectables.
  • The products will be manufactured across three Gland Pharma sites, with technology transfers expected to be completed within two years and revenues beginning in 2029. Once fully commercialized, the portfolio is expected to generate annualized revenue of approximately $90–100 million, with additional products potentially added to the partnership.

Implications:

The deal adds ~$90–100 million of annualized revenue visibility from 2029, diversifies Gland’s customer base, and strengthens its credibility as a one‑stop CDMO for complex and conventional injectables in oncology and non‑oncology therapies. Over time, this can support higher utilization across its sterile sites, improve margin mix versus pure branded/generic sales, and make Gland more competitive for additional CDMO mandates as sponsors seek integrated partners for tech transfer, scale‑up, and commercial manufacturing.
