Implications:

Sun Pharma has signed an exclusive global licensing deal (ex‑US and ex‑China) with LIB Therapeutics for lerodalcibep, a once‑monthly PCSK9 inhibitor for lowering LDL‑C in adults with hypercholesterolaemia/mixed dyslipidaemia. The drug is already approved in the EU as Lyrokaul (Sept 21, 2026) and in the U.S. as Lerochol. The deal gives Sun Pharma access to a fast‑growing ex‑US/China PCSK9 market estimated at ~$3.7 billion (global PCSK9 market approaching ~$7 billion in 2026), strengthening its innovative medicines portfolio beyond generics.
