Fredun Pharma Acquires 26% Stake in Goodman Vetcare

  • Fredun Pharmaceuticals has acquired a 26% stake in Goodman Vetcare, valuing the veterinary retail company at ₹300 crore, to expand its presence in India’s animal health and pet-care market.  
  • Goodman currently operates three stores across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai and reported ₹23.6 crore revenue in FY26, up from ₹14.1 crore in FY24. It targets ₹40 crore in FY27 and ₹56 crore in FY28.  
  • The partnership will combine Goodman’s veterinary retail network and category expertise with Fredun’s manufacturing, brands and technology, with plans for at least eight new stores across three cities and an ambition to reach ~₹100 crore revenue by FY31. 

Implications:  

Fredun Pharmaceuticals has acquired a 26% stake in Goodman Vetcare, valuing the veterinary retail company at ₹300 crore, to strengthen its footprint in India’s animal health and pet‑care market. The partners plan to open at least eight new stores across three cities (including Goodman’s first outlets outside Maharashtra by end‑2027), targeting ~₹100 crore by FY31 by combining Goodman’s retail network and category expertise with Fredun’s manufacturing, brands and technology.
